Former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has undergone a successful heart surgery and his life is not in danger, his spokesman Aidos Ukibay said on Friday.

Mr. Nazarbayev “calls on everyone to rally around the president of Kazakhstan to overcome current challenges and ensure the integrity of the country,” his spokesman, Aidos Ukibay, wrote on Twitter.

Nazarbayev's spokesman, Aidos Ukibay told local news website Tengrinews that in the former president's view, "Nur Otan must serve as the main support for the President of Kazakhstan, especially now, during the global crisis caused by the pandemic".

Deputy Aidos Sarym, one of the bill's developers, said on his Facebook page that the bill had paved way for talks with tech giants and the authorities were now ready to soften its provisions.
