The pregnant woman, Cary López Alvarado, told NBC Los Angeles that the agents had been tailing her husband and co-worker when they pulled into the parking lot of a building where they were doing maintenance.

In a video she recorded and shared with the news station, Alvarado tells the agents to leave and that they were on private property.

Alvarado could not be reached for comment.

Gone were many of the vendors who once lined South Alvarado Street at all times of day, selling everything from baby formula to Lionel Messi jerseys.

After the race, winning jockey Junior Alvarado and Umberto Rispoli, who rode Journalism embraced while atop their horses.
