"Especially if you've got local councils and district councils and all sorts and the county council as well, I think it's just difficult for people to know why it feels relevant to them," she explained.

He added that going to Coachella was the right thing to do, and "all of this has emerged from that".

"I'm on fire now. I'm just pent up and ready to go. It's going to be a bloodbath. I'm going to put all the controversy and all that nonsense to rest. I'm a man of the future," he said.

"It was just crumbling. It flew miles into the sky and all the smoke that followed it," she said.

"It has become clear to me in the last 10 years that the influence of money and the power of the billionaire class, the power of the tech industry and all those extractive things like oil and gas and so on, have a much deeper effect on the world than I had thought," he said.
