The Scottish government believes the single authority model could also work in Argyll and Bute and the Western Isles.

The schools in Aberdeenshire, Argyll and Bute, Scottish Borders and Shetland plan to change provision by adding separate bathrooms for boys and girls.

Scottish Borders, Aberdeenshire and Argyll and Bute councils are also adding separate provision.

Gypsy Travellers were settled on sites across Scotland, including in Aberdeenshire, Argyll, Highlands, Perthshire, Fife and the Borders.

Greater controls on raven populations have previously been introduced in Skye and Argyll.
