Several Republican-led state legislatures are banning or trying to preempt cities and counties from launching direct cash initiatives, arguing publicly funded programs are a waste of taxpayer resources.

She also welcomes Trump's executive orders restricting gender care for Americans under the age of 19 and banning transgender women from female sports.

Voters might like the idea of banning gender-affirming care for minors without remembering that the state already prohibits it.

Now, I do not personally have a great problem with simply banning all deepfakes out of hand.
