In 1996 he earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for guest actor in a comedy for his appearance as crime boss Jerome Belasco in the hit NBC series “Frasier.”

Last year, he sold out three headlining gigs at L.A.’s biannual Netflix Is a Joke Festival — two shows at the Belasco Theater and one at the Bourbon Room.

Each week, Carroll discusses his “Win Forever” philosophy with his students, then conducts a panel chat with his guest along with David Belasco, adjunct professor of entrepreneurship, and Varun Soni, dean of Religious and Spiritual Life.

The tour will kick off in Miami on June 19 and includes a stop in Los Angeles, where the band will perform at the Belasco on July 3.

Given their established-veteran status — the Hard Quartet’s fourth member is Emmett Kelly, who’s played with the Cairo Gang and with Will Oldham for years — these guys ranging in age from mid-40s to early 60s seem not in the least bit anxious about the fact that, 24 hours from now, they’ll make their debut in front of an audience at the Belasco in downtown Los Angeles.
