Bellefontaine Neighbors

Rayford was fired from Bellefontaine Neighbors after the crash and now works as a police officer in Hillsdale.

The prosecutor said Rayford, then a Bellefontaine Neighbors police officer, hit Turner while pursuing a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

An unmarked police vehicle driven by Detective Antonio Valentine responded and was traveling eastbound toward the chase when the suspect’s speeding westbound car crossed the centerline and collided with Valentine’s vehicle in Bellefontaine Neighbors, a suburb just north of St. Louis, officials said.

Reed, of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, denied to police that that he hurt anyone, the affidavit says.

Perez Deshay Reed, 25, of Bellefontaine Neighbors, was charged Saturday with two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree assault.
