Within the past few years the internal administration of bichloride of mercury has been resorted to more frequently and with greater success than ever before.

After anointing, you had better wash your hands carefully in water in which a bichloride of mercury tablet has been dissolved—do not use soap and do not put the bichloride in a metal vessel.

There is, however, one of the bichloride of mercury processes, published some years ago, which I modified so as to give the most satisfactory results.

If this fails, give one-twelfth of a grain of bichloride of mercury thrice daily.

Be careful of the bichloride of mercury, because it is a poison.
