Early in their second season, the brothers clashed with CBS over cutting an antiwar song sung by guest Pete Seeger, “Knee Deep in the Big Muddy.”

He performed his song “Waist Deep in the Big Muddy,” widely viewed as ridiculing President Lyndon Johnson for the Vietnam War.

“I’ve got a big, muddy mess to deal with, but it could have been worse,” said Universal City resident Dave Eichhorn, who awoke Tuesday to find his backyard, on the side of a steep hill, covered in mud.

“I’ve got a big muddy mess to deal with, but it could have been worse,” he said.
