Opening dates for Bridalveil Creek, Porcupine Flat and Tuolumne Meadows campgrounds has not yet been announced.

He had proposed the day before, at the foot of Yosemite’s Bridalveil Fall, hours before meeting us.

Among the areas closed until deemed safe was the Tunnel View, a scenic viewpoint on State Route 41 in the Wawona area that offers sweeping views of such icons as Half Dome and Bridalveil Fall.

Destinations such as lower Yosemite Fall boulders, Bridalveil Fall area and other attractions will remain closed, as well as parts of the Mist Trail.

In August, a 21-year-old Romanian tourist died after plummeting from Bridalveil Falls.
