Bushism

Contrary to the Bushism, the past is not — is never — over.

To the friendly audience at the Bush Center, the Iraq-Ukraine mix-up landed as a Bushism par excellence, a harmless and endearing slip-up.

Last year, Bush appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to take a quiz, “Bushism or Not?” based on videos of his famous gaffes.

By 2016, Bushism would be essentially repudiated in the Republican Party by Donald Trump.

They let him associate himself with Barack Obama, but don't make him address the administration's many failures and betrayals, such as the way Obama embraced Bushism on matters of national security, and embraced neoliberal economics.
