Cabinda

I was born in Cabinda, a region north of Angola.

Cabinda is considered Angolan territory, but many Cabindans, including myself, believe that our home should be independent.

Armed conflict has torn Cabinda for decades.

The Angolan armed forces illegally occupy Cabinda, and commit human rights violations such as murder, kidnapping and lack of basic freedoms.

“You’re seeing some rules being emphasized for the sake of satisfying society’s softness in a game that is not a soft game at all,” said Detroit Lions fullback Jason Cabinda, whose club was on the wrong end of one of this season’s most-disputed calls.
