The dealership on Derby's old cattle market remains closed and Jaguar Land Rover said it was working to return the showroom and service centre to normal.

"It was like a cattle market," he tells me.

"I was sleeping in a cattle market shed and kids set my sleeping bag on fire whilst I was in it," he tells us.

He remembered it being "just a cattle market" and didn't like how the guests were corralled.

“Everyone wants to sacrifice an animal in the name of Allah, but they are not able to do so because they’re poor,” said Mohammad Nadir from a cattle market in Mazar-e-Sharif, northern Afghanistan, where a few men haggled over bleating sheep.
