The Netflix adaptation of “Enola Holmes” assigned him a kid sister uninterested in behaving as a lady of society should and, to sweeten the fantasy, cast the muscular Henry Cavill as Holmes.

The movie's director Martin Campbell told the Express last year that Cavill's audition was "tremendous" and that "if Daniel didn't exist, Henry would have made an excellent Bond".

Amazon may have different ideas - but at 41, Cavill could ironically now be considered too old, especially if he stays for a string of subsequent movies.

Warhammer's also had another boost from inside the entertainment industry - Superman himself, Henry Cavill.

Cavill was a key part of the deal with Amazon and is due to executive produce and star in its Games Workshop adaptations.
