A body found in the River Thames is that of 11-year-old Kaliyah Coa who went missing in east London last month, the Metropolitan Police has confirmed.

Kaliyah Coa, who had been playing during a school inset day, went missing after going in the water in North Woolwich in east London, on 31 March.

A few days earlier, 11-year-old Kaliyah Coa went missing after she went paddling in the River Thames near Bargehouse Causeway, in east London during a day off from school.

A photograph of Kaliyah Coa, an 11-year-old girl who went missing in the River Thames on Monday, has been released by the Metropolitan Police.
