"The phase 2 Durex project construction is about to get underway, with the facility set to go into operation in January 2026," Reckitt's website says.

Reckitt Benckiser, which makes Nurofen tablets, cold remedy Lemsip and Durex, saw a pick-up in China after a decline in volumes because of lockdowns.

It had the DJ's face on one side - part of a campaign Westwood did with Durex.

Meanwhile, Reckitt, the consumer goods company behind Durex and Dettol, said it also would raise prices to offset higher running costs.

Sales to brands such as Durex rose 30% in fiscal 2021 and accounted for 60% of its revenue, up from 49% a year earlier.
