Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel, whose firm WME represents Parker and Stone, defended Paramount and Skydance’s handling of the situation on Friday by phone.

“Nobody has rejected anything. They are just doing their analysis,” Emanuel told The Times in a brief interview.

This brief and very incomplete list of the literally hundreds of thousands of people who have been killed by guns in the U.S. in the last decade does not include the racist mass shootings in Buffalo, N.Y., and at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C.; the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Fla.; or the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, at a music festival in Las Vegas in 2017.

That means health examinations by highly qualified and apolitical doctors or, as oncologist Ezekiel Emanuel recently suggested in the New York Times, a panel of doctors, not personal physicians who make unbelievable claims or, in Trump’s case, allow the patient to dictate the letter about their own health.

“There’s an incredible amount of skepticism in the public world about what AI is and what AI will do in the future,” said Sean Pak, an intellectual property lawyer at Quinn Emanuel, on a conference panel.
