"While our enquiries remain ongoing we do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances regarding the cause of the fire and will be preparing a file for the coroner in due course."

"It's very far removed from assisting people with their constituency enquiries," he said.

There had been 300 enquiries from MPs and MSs over their constituents' experiences, with waiting times the main focus.

"We continue to support those still receiving treatment and, as part of our ongoing enquiries, we are identifying more people who were injured."

He added that it was not a police matter, but officers would "continue to undertake enquiries on behalf of the coroner".
