Grand Prix Espoo is the fifth of the six events that determine qualification for next month’s Grand Prix Finals in Beijing.

Espoo is a neighboring city of the capital, Helsinki.

The labour shortage is most acute in the southern region of Uusimaa, where 30% of the population lives, and it is especially problematic in three of the biggest cities, Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa.

Malinin’s other Grand Prix assignment this season is Nov. 25 in Espoo, Finland.

The ISU said the Nov. 25-27 event will move to Espoo, Finland, as the last of the six regular Grand Prix events before the Grand Prix Final in Italy.
