“Hallelujah Chorus”

Perhaps the most striking line of questioning of the morning came from Justice Samuel Alito, who, pounding his hand on the bench, joined in the Trump administration’s hallelujah chorus vilifying district court judges as megalomaniacal know-it-alls.

Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” rose from the crowd outside the government palazzo where he handed in his resignation to end his third and final term as premier, a leadership tenure spaced out over 17 years.

And here Farrell turns into a one-man hallelujah chorus.

The eighth number, “Hallelujah in White,” is nothing more than the line “Mind your business,” repeated over and over to the “Hallelujah” Chorus from Handel’s “Messiah.”

And before you know it, the concert hall, church, rec center or school auditorium fills with the triumphant sound of one of the most beloved musical works of the season: Handel’s “Hallelujah” chorus.
