Further active travel routes will allow visitors to reach the site at Kempston Hardwick from Interchange West Retail Park in Bedford.

Between April and November 2024 visitors to Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire were invited to stitch names of women they felt should be celebrated on to a textile display called Virtuous Woman.

Mr Thompson described Kempston Hardwick as "the perfect site for us".

Construction on the site at Kempston Hardwick, Bedfordshire, is expected to start next year if planning permission is granted.

It will be constructed on the site of the former Kempston Hardwick brickworks near Bedford and is expected to generate 28,000 jobs before it opens in 2031.
