Often looking to history, her influential designs have included corsets, Harris Tweed suits and taffeta ballgowns.

She put models in Harris Tweed, fine knitting, 'mini-crinis' and corsets that pushed their busts almost up to the chin.

Her signature items are bags fashioned from Harris Tweed jackets, incorporating the lapels as a design detail.

Catherine Campbell, from the Isle of Harris, is made an OBE for services to the Harris Tweed industry and economy on the Isle of Harris.
