Hengyang

Hengyang, a city in southern China, introduced a subsidy of nearly $5,000 to help technicians and undergraduate students buy their first homes.

He speaks by phone daily with his parents, who live in Hengyang in Hunan province, about 320 miles from Wuhan, the center of the outbreak.

Wang’s wife Cao Shuxia received a call from police notifying her that her husband had died at a military hospital in the city of Hengyang where he had been held.

An officer at the Hengyang police station said he could not comment on the case.

The company, which makes products for a number of technology giants, has allegedly fired two senior staff members at the site in Hengyang, Bloomberg reports.
