Hueytown

The 50-year-old woman was charged Monday following a confrontation that occurred Saturday afternoon at an Arby’s restaurant in suburban Birmingham, according to a statement from the Hueytown Police Department.

The driver, Lazarus Lamonte Glover, 41, is charged with two counts of attempted murder and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer out of Hueytown.

Police said the two men tried to burglarize a Hueytown business and then fired at officers responding to an alarm call.

One Hueytown police car was struck by gunfire, but no one was injured, the agencies said.

At least one other Hueytown police car was struck by gunfire during the chase, Al.com reported, citing officials.
