Ike Schab, a 104-year-old Pearl Harbor attack survivor, spent weeks in physical therapy to be able to stand and salute at a ceremony in Hawaii.

She had escaped an abusive marriage to musician Ike Turner at the end of the 1970s, but the divorce left her penniless, living off food stamps and playing ill-conceived cabaret shows to pay her debts.

But “Tina” sheds powerful light on the singer, who was born Annie Mae Bullock before adopting a stage name selected by Ike, with whom she began performing as an insecure teenager.
