Leyton Orient have already been one of the stories of this season's FA Cup, thanks to goalkeeper Josh Keeley, who went up for a stoppage-time corner in their second-round win over Oldham and scored a 99th-minute equaliser to force extra time, then Dan Agyei got their winner in the 121st minute.

“Let the community know, let the people all over Northern California know, it is safe to come to our wharf,” Mayor Fred Keeley said during a weekend reopening ceremony.

Keeley said safety professionals have reviewed the wharf “from beginning to end, from wall to wall, side to side” and with ocean sonar equipment to ensure it was “sound and safe” for visitors and merchants.

Keeley saw her dad less than a fortnight before his death and Alex spoke to him by phone the previous day.

Their dad's heroin addiction had meant there were periods when Alex and Keeley, who asked for their real names and their father's name to be withheld, had little contact with him.
