P&G Turkey employs 700 people at three sites in Istanbul and Kocaeli, according to the company’s website.

Kocaeli Mayor Tahir Buyukakin said three of the injured were hospitalized in serious condition.

An initial investigation showed the explosion was caused by “wheat dust compression during the transfer of wheat from a ship to the silo,” said Seddar Yavuz, governor of Kocaeli province.

Faten has moved in with a friend in Kocaeli, closer to Istanbul.

Video released by the Kocaeli Municipality on Sunday showed rescuers talking to Emira and her father while they were still trapped under debris.
