Police in Paris are investigating the theft of $1.6 million in wine that was stolen from La Tour d’Argent, a renowned restaurant in Paris.

A spokeswoman for La Tour d’Argent declined to comment on the theft.

On a number of occasions, La Tour d'Argent has found itself caught up in historical events.

His lawyer, Pierre La Tour, declined to comment on the new charges, the newspaper reported.
