Lao-tzu

Nearby is a giant statue of Lao-tzu, the founder of Taoism, who is worshiped here as a “green god.”

As Lao-tzu said, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”.

Or to quote Lao-tzu: "Those who speak do not know, those who know do not speak."

"The more weapons of violence, the more misery to mankind," Lao-tzu taught.

And as an ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao-tzu, said: "Govern a great nation as you would cook a small fish; do not overdo it."
