Madalyn Majors, one of the few Altadena residents who has moved back into the neighborhood, said she welcomes security cameras, but acknowledges that there will still be surveillance gaps in the community.

They were introduced in Southern U.S. states to capture — and sometimes kill — enslaved Black people who escaped, said Madalyn Wasilczuk, a University of South Carolina professor and author of a law journal article titled, “ The Racialized Violence of Police Canine Force.”

The initiative is a step in the right direction, said Madalyn Wasilczuk, a University of South Carolina law professor who has researched detention center deaths.

There is no mention of the famous atheists of the last century: no Madalyn Murray O’Hair, no Christopher Hitchens.

“Everyone on our team brings something from their personal life, whether it’s gaming or something else that’s influenced them,” said Madalyn Eudy, a creative designer with GM’s Ultifi software platform.
