Mame

A confessed workaholic, Swit moved easily from comedy to drama, acting in “Same Time, Next Year,” “Mame” and “The Odd Couple” before moving to Los Angeles to star in “M*A*S*H.”

She took to the Broadway stage in "Same Time, Next Year," "Mame" and "Shirley Valentine".

In 2019, she handed over the role of artistic director of Urban Bush Women to two company members, Chanon Judson and Mame Diarra Speis.

It’s in his cocky but effete delivery, the same vocal quality I heard when theater queens debated who was the superior Mame at West Village gay bars.

Paige replaced Angela Lansbury in the New York production of “Mame” in 1968 on Broadway and toured with the show in 1969.
