Maspero

Relatives of victims carried coffins out to be buried following violence that took place in front of the Maspero TV building on October 9 – 10, 2011.

Just before I left Cairo I went to a service for the Martyrs of Maspero, the 27 men murdered by the regime in October 2011 on a peaceful protest in front of the Egyptian Radio and Television building.

There were problems with incline elevators made in Italy by the company Maspero Elevatori, which has also made angled lifts for projects in the French Riviera and Malaysia.

And factory tests at Maspero were conducted outdoors.

Maspero declined to comment for this article, referring questions to Kone, the contractor.
