In California, more than 75% are undocumented, according to the University of California, Merced.

Though a growing number of farm laborers are migrants imported on a seasonal basis through the controversial H-2A visa program, at least half the state’s 255,700 farmworkers are undocumented immigrants, according to UC Merced research.

Farm Tour 2025 hit California’s Merced, Fresno and Kern counties in May and will play three Midwest shows in September.

Authorities eventually found the white van abandoned in nearby Merced County and a storage locker that contained merchandise matching the description of the stolen goods.

Temperatures as high as 106 are forecast for a portion of Central California including Merced, Madera, the San Joaquin Valley, Fresno, the Yosemite Valley and the Sierra Foothills.
