South African director and actor Mmabatho Montsho said she was tired of stereotypes around HIV/AIDS, sexual violence and unwanted pregnancies, and wanted to broaden the conversation.

In Mmabatho, the new capital carved out of the bush, the crowd roared its approval as President Lucas Mangope, head of the new government, declared that "at last we are no longer helplessly at the mercy of the arbitrary arrogance of those who until this hour trampled our human dignity into the dust."

Kerzner, who began his career as an accountant, opened the first hotel-casino in 1977 in Mmabatho, the capital of the homeland of Bophuthatswana, about 150 miles from Johannesburg.
