After a start so good that folks giddily wondered if the Dodgers could win every game, and after a couple of runs so bad that the Dodgers twice fell into third place in the National League West, the opening month is over and the verdict is in: The Dodgers are who we thought they are.

In March 2020, they were being held at home by Eastleigh to stay within two points of the National League relegation places.

Wrexham won the National League title in 2023 and followed that with promotion from League Two at the first attempt the following season.

But the following season proved memorable as Wrexham clinched the National League title with a record 111 points to end a 15-year absence from the Football League.

Billed as a matchup between the National League’s best arms, Friday night’s pitchers duel lived up to expectations.
