They will team up with North Down Marquees, who will deliver reusable cups to venues, pick up used ones, which will be washed in a central washing facility, and redistributed.

There are 15 patients in the scheme which is currently operating in North Down and Newtownards, and it is hoped that will increase to 40 by April when it can be extended to Lisburn and Down.

That means that large homes in affluent areas like north Down currently pay the same rates as much more modest detached houses.
