The collaborative project, which features Hunter, Matthew McQueen, Diva Dompé, Ami Dang and Olive Ardizoni, is known as Galdre Visions, a name that references the Old Norwegian word for a sorcerer, or a Celtic druid that uses songs for incantations.

Professionally, victories in the world rapid and blitz chess championships earned the 29-year‑old Norwegian the triple crown, alongside the classical world title he has held since 2013.

The 46-year old Norwegian, dressed in shirt and jeans rather than formal business attire, stressed that the fund wanted to grow in areas where it was still small rather than expanding in new asset classes.

“He dreamed of having a nationwide Native American art show in South Dakota. He kept asking me if I had any native in me. I’m just an old Norwegian,” Berg chuckled at the memory.

Karen Dolva, the 27-year old Norwegian co-founder of No Isolation, says a friend working as a nurse in a children's ward "mentioned these kids were miserable and only seeing their families," she says.
