Philippine Trench

There's a plan to take the DSV Limiting Factor shortly to the Philippine Trench, which in terms of depth at 10,500m is third only to the Mariana and Tonga trenches.

It stands in the firmament of the best rides on the global circuit, a fast and powerful monster because of the water that sweeps in from the Philippine Trench in the Pacific Ocean.

Other expeditions had sounded the deeps and found that the deepest one, the Philippine Trench off the east coast of Mindanao, lies more than six miles beneath the surface of the sea.
