RHG Consolidated, based in Kansas City, shut the doors on a facility it purchased in 2018, blaming a revenue shortfall and a lack of patient demand.

“Collecting a sample portion of RHG makes for a fascinating updating of the V&A’s 20th-century policy of collecting rooms and elements from stately homes that were being demolished,” says Barnabas Calder, the author of “Raw Concrete: The Beauty of Brutalism”. 

The owner, Joe Willen of RHG Realty, who is leasing the property to the bank contingent on town approval of the plans, said the board had made the right decision.
