The more than 60,000 fans in attendance were not disappointed as Uso won his first ever world title to open the show on Saturday - in doing so, bettering the career achievements of his father, 90s and 00s wrestler Rikishi.

The Usos’ father is former WWE superstar Rikishi.

Among his cousins who’ve found massive success in the WWE are Hall of Fame members Yokozuna and Rikishi, as well as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, whom Roman made his acting debut alongside in 2019’s “Fast & Furious” spinoff “Hobbs & Shaw.”

He’s now the chief executive officer at Knokx Pro Entertainment, a pro wrestling academy and promotion company he founded with fellow pro wrestler Rikishi in Van Nuys, not far from the family’s home in Studio City.

Officials say designer Santiago Varela had planned on removing the sumo wrestler even before riders said the life-sized rikishi might be rankling their animals.
