Rombauer

He wanted to run Rombauer in the Kentucky Derby in 2021 but the colt’s owners overruled him.

As the press release notes, the original "Joy of Cooking," published by Irma Rombauer in 1939 is "more than a cookbook; it's an American culinary institution."

The 1963 edition of “The Joy of Cooking,” featured a section dedicated to leftovers that was drastically condensed when compared with the original 1931 edition which author Irma Rombauer said she created “one eye on the family purse.”

Rombauer won both races two years ago and Deputed Testimony did the same in 1983.

Rombauer is best known for its chardonnay, which has become iconic for its traditional California style, and its zinfandel.
