Bowman found he could no longer travel without his dogs after Roscoe, a rescued beagle mix he once took to Victory Lane at Daytona, passed away two years ago while he was testing in Indianapolis.

So tough, in fact, Bowman said Roscoe’s death inspired his team at Hendricks Motorsports to change their rules and allow the driver to bring his dogs on the team plane.

Stella Roscoe from Leatherhead, Surrey, learned her car was cloned when she received a police letter saying she was being prosecuted for fleeing the scene of an accident in Ilford.

Mrs Roscoe says she has never been to Ilford.

Ms Roscoe said she would like plate cloning to carry a prison sentence.
