Dragon is on track to reenter Earth’s atmosphere and splash down off the southern coast of California near Oceanside at ~10:44 p.m.

The five-day mission was originally set to blast off Monday but has been delayed repeatedly for various reasons, including a leaking launch-pad helium line and unfavorable weather off the coast of Florida, where the capsule will splash down on return.

“That’s Barry territory,” he said of a home run that cleared the towering right-center field bleachers at Oracle Park, landing just short of a splash down in McCovey Cove.

While its most successful flight yet, the rocket was still lost before it could splash down in the Indian Ocean.

The Inspiration4 is expected to splash down sometime Saturday.
