The factory in Taubate currently produces two compact cars, the Sedan Voyage and the hatchback Gol.

On Monday, Ford said it planned to stop operations at its Camaçari and �ղ��ܲ�����é plants immediately, though some production of parts will continue for a few months to support inventories.

The �ղ��ܲ�����é factory, which opened in 1974 near São Paulo, made engines, while Camcari, which opened in 2001, produced cars such as the Ka Hatch.

Production will cease immediately at Ford’s plants in Camaçari and �ղ��ܲ�����é, with some parts production continuing for a few months to support inventories for aftermarket sales.
