Coventry Building Society, TSB, the Co-operative Bank and Bank of Ireland are among those to have cut rates this week.

TSB Bank said it will reduce some two-year fixed rate mortgages by up to 0.25 percentage points on Wednesday, following MPowered Mortgages which trimmed rates across a number of its deals.

Users also reported that the Halifax, TSB, Bank of Scotland banking apps were not working.

A recent investigation by TSB found that more than a third of Facebook Marketplace listings could be fraudulent, with the estimated annual loss to customers reaching nearly £60m.
