Gourde went undrafted in major junior hockey and was ignored by the NHL after winning a league scoring title with the Victoriaville Tigres by 23 points over the next closet contender.

Gascon attended the Olympiques’ training camp and made 34 saves in a 12-1 preseason victory over the Victoriaville Tigres.

Marie Eye, 43, of Victoriaville, Quebec, who has been making soup for the protesters, said she doubted police would be able to remove the trucks or the protesters.

Despite winning a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League scoring title with 37 goals and 87 assists for his Victoriaville squad in 2011-12, Gourde notoriously went unselected by NHL teams.

Gourde actually led the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in scoring his final season with Victoriaville.
